40 and Leroy And The Mayan Calendar?

What do Dirty Harry, Sherlock Holmes, James Bond and The Three Stooges have in common with 40 and Leroy?  The answer.  Their series all followed current social and political trends.  A close examination of 40 and Leroy will reveal a microcosm of the larger class
and economic warfare between nations, peoples and individuals.
If you examine Clint Eastwood’s “Dirty Harry” series, you’ll see it closely follows the political situation by focusing on left-wing radicals in the 1st installment “Dirty Harry” while the sequel “Magnum” Force featured right-wing radicalism.  The 1940’s Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbone had the master sleuth fighting Nazis while the more recent Robert Downey Jr. version of reveals Holmes’ dependence on cocaine. The James Bond film series begins with the nuclear powered “Doctor No” in 1962, and has now evolved into the 2012 release “Skyfall”. The films title speaks for itself.  Comedy films are no exceptions to the rule. The Marx Brothers presented the growing fascist politics of the 1930’s in their classic film “Duck Soup”. And let’s not forget The Three Stooges contemporized themselves in the 1960’s by offering up such space-age treats as “Have Rocket Will Travel”, and “The Three Stooges in Orbit”.  Like their film series predecessors, 40 and Leroy is a reflection of not only urban banter and culture, but also the struggle for spiritual enlightenment and social freedom.  Oh yeah, and it’s 40 and Leroy to the rescue.  Reel Rebel Productions put it’s number-one crime-fighting duo on the case in the new season against the New World Order’s Illuminatrix Corporation . The hardworking 40 Ounce and the happy-go-lucky Leroy will somehow confound the schemes of the evil Ima Ballbreaker, evil space aliens, crooked politicians, greedy  banksters and their hapless henchmen, thus contributing (in their own small way) in creating
a new age of peace, prosperity and freedom.  If Abbott and Costello can start out as WWII “Buck Privates”, then blast into outer space as they did in “Abbott and Costello Go To Mars” (1953), 40 and Leroy can certainly do the same for the dilemma facing modern man as we reach the culmination of the 2012 Mayan Calendar. And they will, even if we have to die laughing.  Let’s all follow in as the fellas navigate their way through situations that could only happen during the ‘endtimes’.  Kidnappings, drugings, mind-control sessions, switched identities, dream-state encounters, UFO’s, secret underground bases and loads more high-adventure await 40 and Leroy in the upcoming seasons.  Strap on your safety belts folks.  It could be laugh riot …er …literally.
